Logic of monopoly and corruption eradicated in Armenia, Pashinyan says

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan travelled today to Gegharkunik province to attend an investment forum called My Step for Gegharkunik Region.
YEREVAN, May 11. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan travelled today to Gegharkunik province to attend an investment forum called My Step for Gegharkunik Region.
In his speech, Pashinyan, first of all, drew attention to the need to improve the coastal zone of Lake Sevan, which is the largest reservoir of fresh water in the country and a symbol of Armenia, as well as to the protection of the environment as a whole.
"We declare that the investment environment, as well as the level and quality of economic relations in Armenia have changed. The logic of monopoly and corruption has been eradicated, and we can discuss all projects openly, transparently and publicly. We want to say that the government’s priority is to ensure a level playing field for all," said Pashinyan.
He also emphasized the importance of holding such conferences in the context of discussing opportunities for attracting investment and economic development.
"A year has passed since the non-violent, velvet and popular revolution in Armenia. At the end of this year, we declare that we are moving in the right direction, our main task is to encourage citizens, businessmen and investors to work, enrich themselves and enrich Armenia," said Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister examined an exhibition of local products, organized on the sidelines of the forum.
The conference was attended by heads of ministries, parliament members, foreign ambassadors, about 110 entrepreneurs, of whom 72 were from foreign countries, representatives of large, medium and small enterprises, banking structures, and experts.
Investment forums and exhibitions of local products are held in the regions of Armenia by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development together with regional administrations. The conference in Gegharkunik region is the fourth regional forum this year. Six more will be organized. -0-
