YEREVAN, June 3. /ARKA/. The volume of net direct Russian investments in the Armenian real sector economy in 2018 amounted to $124.6 million, said Russian Trade Representative in Armenia Andrey Babko.

"This figure makes 53.8% of the total net direct investment flows to Armenia last year," he said on Saturday at the annual business forum "Eurasian Economic Union: Armenia - Cooperation"
According to him,  the Eurasian Economic Union member countries accounted for 36.5% of the gross investment flow in Armenia last year.

"Russia is the main investor in terms of net reserves of foreign investments in the real sector of the Armenian economy with the share of  42.1%. Russia is also the leading country in terms of direct foreign investors with a 43.3% share," said the trade representative.

According to the National Statistical Committee, foreign direct investment in Armenia in 2018 amounted to $254.3 million compared to $249.8 million in 2017. Net foreign direct investment in the real sector of the economy in 2018 amounted to 111.8 billion drams against 93 billion drams in 2017. ($1 - 480.1 drams). --0--
