Over 10,000 tons of Armenian fruits and vegetables exported this year

Some 10,248 metric tons of fruits and vegetables have been exported so far by Armenian companies this year, up from 5,093 tons exported during the same period last year, the ministry of agriculture said today.

YEREVAN, February 23. /ARKA/. Some 10,248 metric tons of fruits and vegetables have been exported so far by Armenian companies this year, up from 5,093 tons exported during the same period last year, the ministry of agriculture said today.
It specified that 3,299 tons were fruits and grapes, up from 2,219 tons exported last year and 6,949 tons were vegetables and potatoes, up from 2,874 tons in 2014.
The bulk of Armenian fruits and vegetables are exported to Russia, Georgia, Switzerland and Iraq. According to the National Statistical Service, Armenia’s agricultural output in 2015 grew by 11% to more than one trillion drams. ($ 1 - 494.74 drams). -0-
