The economic revolution in Armenia will be successful if more women are engaged in entrepreneurship, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today when addressing the international conference of the World Association of Women-Entrepreneurs (FCEM) in Yerevan.

YEREVAN, April 26. /ARKA/. The economic revolution in Armenia will be successful if more women are engaged in entrepreneurship, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today when addressing the international conference of the World Association of Women-Entrepreneurs (FCEM) in Yerevan.
Pashinyan said the role of women in Armenia and the level of their engagement have noticeably increased over the past year. He said last year’s velvet revolution would not have become a reality without women’s active involvement.
‘The role of women in the revolution was indeed decisive. I am also convinced that their role in the economic revolution will be equally important," Pashinyan stressed.
According to the Prime Minister, many sectors in Armenia, starting from the government and ending with the business, need a woman's hand. “I believe that Armenia needs women's care, as disorganization, carelessness and sometimes untidiness reign in different parts of our country. We must promote women in all areas. This is a priority of our government,” said Pashinyan.

Pashinyan said that the involvement of women in the economy, politics, public life, the government, in no way contradicts and should not contradict the traditions of the Armenian family.
“Today I want to urge all women of Armenia to make their step towards economic revolution. Because I am convinced that women can be more efficient, thrifty and develop successfully in business,” Pashinyan stressed.
According to him, the sense of responsibility of Armenian women is stronger than that of males; moreover, women are less prone to corruption than men.
"Women's economic and political involvement will increase over time. I hope that women will be able to take advantage of the opportunities we are creating for developing micro businesses and take the initiative in the economic revolution. Their participation will be decisive," said the Prime Minister.
He also urged women not to be afraid of “reinventing” the bicycle, since any thing can be done in a new way.
The international conference of the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs (FCEM) is being held in Armenia from April 24 to 28. The event has been organized by the Association of Young Women of Armenia and the Network of Women Entrepreneurs of Armenia.
