Production of brandy in Armenia in nine months soars by 25 percent

Production of brandy in Armenia in the first 9 months of 2016 soared by 25.1% from the year ago to 13.5 million liters, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
YEREVAN, October 31. / ARKA /. Production of brandy in Armenia in the first 9 months of 2016 soared by 25.1% from the year ago to 13.5 million liters, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
It said also that during this period the production of wine increased by 7.4% to about 4.3 million liters, production of vodka decreased by 6.6% to about 5.7 million liters, production of whiskey grew by 1.7 times to about 1.1 million liters and production of champagne grew by 26.8% to 320,800 liters.
Production of beer fell by almost 11% to a little over 16 million liters and production of soft drinks fell by 9.2% to about 54 million liters. -0-
