Romanian Tarom to operate two flights a week to Armenian capital Yerevan

Armenia International Airports CJSC said it has concluded negotiations with the Romanian airline Tarom.
YEREVAN, August 27. /ARKA/. Armenia International Airports CJSC said it has concluded negotiations with the Romanian airline Tarom. As a result, an agreement was signed, according to which from September 5 Tarom will operate regular flights from Bucharest to Yerevan. The flights will be operated twice a week, the company said.
"The geographical location of Bucharest is very convenient for transit flights to major European destinations," Armenia International Airports said.
Tarom Airlines is the national air carrier of Romania, the largest and oldest airline in that country.
Armenia’s international airport Zvartnots in Yerevan and the Shirak airport in the second-largest town of Gyumri are run by the Armenia International Airports company that belongs to American International Airports, an Argentine company owned by Eduardo Eurnekian, an Argentine entrepreneur of Armenian descent. -0-
