Russia exempts deliveries of natural gas and petroleum products to Armenia from export duties

Russian energy minister Alexander Novak and Armenia’s ambassador to the Russian Federation Oleg Yesayan signed a protocol December 29 under which deliveries of Russian petroleum products and natural gas to Armenia will be exempted from export duties indefinitely, the Russian ministry said in a statement.

YEREVAN, December 30. /ARKA/. Russian energy minister Alexander Novak and Armenia’s ambassador to the Russian Federation Oleg Yesayan signed a protocol December 29 under which deliveries of Russian petroleum products and natural gas to Armenia will be exempted from export duties indefinitely, the Russian ministry said in a statement.
The protocol amends the agreement signed by the two governments in 2013 December on cooperation in the field of supplies of natural gas, petroleum products and rough diamonds to Armenia.
The changes envisaged by the protocol were designed to bring the bilateral legal framework in line with the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). -0-
