YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Russia lowcoster Pobeda, a division of Aeroflot, said against the backdrop of coronavirus outbreak, it allows passengers to return their tickets from March 7 for paying 500 rubles. It said the measure is temporary, TASS reported.
Previously, a return ticket for Pobeda flights could only be purchased as part of the most expensive airline fare. Most of the airline’s tickets are non-refundable.
"Now, our customers are afraid of planning holidays due to the unpredictable situation with the spread of coronavirus in the world. At their request, from March 7, a new service is available on the Pobeda’s website - ticket refund, which adds to the cost of any basic non-refundable ticket only 499 rubles per flight, “Pobeda CEO Andrei Kalmykov said.
The refund service will allow the customer to cancel the flight at any time after booking, but no later than 48 hours before the departure time, the airline says.
Pobeda is Aeroflot’s 100% subsidiary and the fourth largest airline in Russia after Aeroflot itself, S7 Airlines and Russia. The company flies to 28 international destinations: two in the Middle East, one in Armenia (Gyumri), the rest - to Europe and Turkey. -0-
