Russian trade representative to Armenia expects Armenian-Russian trade to grow further

YEREVAN, October 3. /ARKA/. Russian trade representative to Armenia Anna Donchenko expects the Armenian-Russian trade to grow further by the end of this year.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, she recalled that in the first half of 2022 the trade turnover between Armenia and Russia amounted to $2 billion having increased by almost 50% compared to 2021.
"The figures speak for themselves. I think this dynamics will not only be maintained, but multiplied. I think we will see some new numbers by the end of the year," Donchenko said.
According to official figures, trade turnover between Russia and Armenia almost doubled in 2016-2021 from $1.35 billion to $2.6 billion.
Russia is Armenia's largest foreign trade partner. According to Armenia’s National Statistics Committee, the trade turnover between Armenia and Russia in the first half of 2022 amounted to about $1.7 billion, an increase of 50.1% compared to the same period last year.
Armenian exports to Russia during the reporting period amounted to $542.8 million, with a 48.4% growth, and the imports to over $1.1 billion (a 41.7% growth). ($1 - 405.65 drams). -0-
