SCR surveying its rails and rolling stock

The South Caucasus Railways CJSC’s spring inspection of rails and rolling stock is under way now, the company’s press office reported on Wednesday.
YEREVAN, April 11. /ARKA/. The South Caucasus Railways CJSC’s spring inspection of rails and rolling stock is under way now, the company’s press office reported on Wednesday.
The inspection was launched on April 1 and will last until May 20.
The company is also surveying energy-supplying facilities, automatic devises and telecommunication systems to identify problems and solve them.
While surveying the rolling stock, the company experts pay special attention to aeration and fire control systems and the machinery which secures proper traffic.
Results of the spring inspection will be reported at weekly session.
South Caucasus Railways, a 100-percent subsidiary of Russian Railways, runs Armenian Railway.
Armenian Railways was handed over to the South Caucasus Railways on February 13, 2008 for 30-year concession management with a right to prolong the management term for other 10 years. -0-
