A fish farm called Sevan Trout will invest 682 million drams in expansion of the cultivation of trout in the lake, economic development and investment minister Suren Karayan said today.
YEREVAN, May 4. /ARKA/. A fish farm called Sevan Trout will invest 682 million drams in expansion of the cultivation of trout in the lake, economic development and investment minister Suren Karayan said today.
This in mind the government decided to exempt the company from payment of customs duties for import of technological equipment and raw materials, granting it also a three-year deferment for VAT payments. The minister said as a result the company will create 23 new jobs with an average salary of 290 thousand drams.
A government-designed program for development of fisheries in Lake Sevan provides for increasing the volume of trout production in the lake to 50,000 tons per year in 10 years (until 2023). ($ 1 - 484.77 drams). -0-
