State Oversight Service recovers $1 million and promises to recover several millions more

Davit Sanasaryan, the head of Armenia’s State Oversight Service, said today his agency has recovered an amount equivalent to $1 million.
YEREVAN, October 25. /ARKA/. Davit Sanasaryan, the head of Armenia’s State Oversight Service, said today his agency has recovered an amount equivalent to $1 million.
Speaking to reporters after a government session, he said the results of its work were already tangible. He added that the agency will recover another several million in USD before the end of the year.
He said part of the amount was recovered by Lusanshan state non-profit organization. He said the details would be unveiled after the completion of the investigation into the initiated criminal case.
"We have completed the inspection of the Agrarian University of Armenia, and one of the former rectors agreed to recover a damage worth 350 million drams,” he said.
He also added that the inspections at the Yerevan State University where serious breaches were revealed will soon be completed as well. In his words, according to preliminary estimates, the damage caused to the Yerevan State University is about 700 million drams.
He said that a set of inspections in the communities will also be completed soon, where also serious financial violations were discovered. He said the results will be presented at a government meeting next Thursday. -0-
