Armenia’s State Revenue Committee has updated the list of the top 1000 corporate taxpayers in the first quarter of 2019, but used the old methodology.
YEREVAN, May 22 /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) has updated the list of the top 1000 corporate taxpayers in the first quarter of 2019, but used the old methodology. It said the earlier unveiled list was compiled according to the new methodology, and did not take into account the companies’ tax liabilities.
According to updated list, the 1,000 largest taxpayers paid over 221 billion drams in various taxes in the first quarter of 2019, which is 23.7% more when compared to the first quarter of 2018.
The list is topped by Gazprom Armenia national gas distribution company, which paid more than 13.5 billion drams in taxes, down from about 13.9 billion drams paid in the first quarter of 2018. It is followed by Grand Tobacco company, which paid 12.8 billion drams in taxes, up from about 8 billion drams, paid in the first quarter of 2018.
Next in the list of the largest taxpayers is Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine, which paid 6.6 billion drams against 4.1 billion drams paid in the first quarter of 2018. The fourth is the Electric Networks of Armenia, which paid about 4.6 billion drams, up from 2.6 billion drams paid in the first quarter of 2018.
GeoProMining Gold, which paid about 4.3 billion drams is fifth. In the first quarter of 2018 it had paid 2.4 billion drams. ($ 1 - dram 479.6). -0-
