YEREVAN, December 14. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Revenue Committee said its customs offices will be working five days a week from 9 in the morning until 9 in the evening to handle a sharp increase in the number of imported cars.
According to the agency, imports of vehicles in 2018 increased to more than 62,500, up from 40,000 in previous years.
It said the customs office set up for imported cars to go through customs clearance is not designed to handle such many vehicles, which caused long queues. The State Revenue Committee said additional measures are being taken to solve this problem.
More precisely, until the resolution of this problem, persons who import cars from other countries may have their cars go through customs clearance at all other customs offices and customs points without exception.-- 0-
