The Armenian Trade Export company will invest 500 million drams in the production of electricity meters for the Eurasian Economic Union’s market, Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
YEREVAN, November 21. /ARKA/. The Armenian Trade Export company will invest 500 million drams in the production of electricity meters for the Eurasian Economic Union’s market, Deputy Minister of Economy Avag Avanesyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
The government awarded today the company a set of privileges regarding the payment of customs duties on the import of equipment and raw materials.
“The company has been manufacturing electricity meters in Yerevan since 2015 and employs 6 people. The new investment will create 50 new jobs with an average wage of 153 thousand drams,” Avanesyan said.
He said that the company's products will be exported mainly to Russia. The company is expected to manufacture 16.4 billion drams worth meters per year.
The deputy minister said the company paid last year 44 million drams in taxes. ($1 - 476.98 dram). --0-
