YEREVAN, November 17. /ARKA/. Armenia's Environmental Protection and Mining Inspection Body revealed a set of violations at the Ararat Brandy, Wine and Spirits Factory in Yerevan.

More precisely, the company operated six heating boilers without permission for pollutant emissions into the atmosphere.

By the decision of the Inspection Body the operation of the boilers was suspended. Administrative fines will be imposed on the factory. It will be also required to compensate for the damage caused to environment.

The Ararat Brandy, Wine and Spirits Factory was founded in 1877. After the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991 and until 2022, the factory was in a neglected condition. In 2002 it was privatized by the founder of Multi Group Concern Gagik Tsarukyan. -0-
