YEREVAN, May 12. / ARKA /. Anna Gharibyan and Arthur Torosyan, two holders of Armenian Ameribank Visa cards, have won trips to Brazil for the FIFA World Cup in Fortaleza and Salvador on June 16-19 and 30 June - July 3 respectively.

They were selected in a drawing from 300 other cardholders who actively participated in a special campaign of the bank running from March 10 to April 30 inclusive. The participants had to use their Visa cards to make various payments worth at least 200 thousand drams or the equivalent in foreign currency except for utility payments and card- to- card money transfers.

Ameriabank retail sales director Arman Barseghyan said the number of non-cash transactions increased by 33 % during that time span. The number of non-cash transactions by using Visa cards surged by 55%, he added.

"We have ambitious programs and therefore we will come out with new special offers and drawings and we are going also to introduce new services to secure the planned growth indicators," he said.

According to Ameriabank data, it had over 55,000 cardholders as of April 30. Ameriabank is a universal bank that provides investment, corporate and retail banking services in the form of an integrated package of banking solutions. -0-
