UAE business people may invest in production of beverages and canned food in Armenia

Investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) would like to know more about production of alcoholic beverages and canned food in Armenia and the possibilities of investing in these sectors, deputy minister of economic development and investments Hovhannes Azizyan said on Wednesday as Armenian parliamentarians were discussing a proposal to ratify the agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments with the UAE.

Investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) would like to know more about production of alcoholic beverages and canned food in Armenia and the possibilities of investing in these sectors, deputy minister of economic development and investments Hovhannes Azizyan said on Wednesday as Armenian parliamentarians were discussing a proposal to ratify the agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments with the UAE.
"Investors from the UAE said they could invest in the production of alcoholic beverages and canned food in Armenia. We are also discussing their potential involvement in diamond processing and jewelry industry," Azizyan said.
According to him, this agreement, if approved, will allow Armenia to attract serious investments. He reminded that Armenia has already 41 similar agreements with various countries. --0--
