VTB Bank (Armenia) is considering several greenhouse construction projects in Armenia, which are estimated at approximately $80 million, Bank’s acting CEO Yuri Gusev said today.

YEREVAN, July 12. /ARKA/. VTB Bank (Armenia) is considering several greenhouse construction projects in Armenia, which are estimated at approximately $80 million, Bank’s acting CEO Yuri Gusev said today.

"This is a strategic program that involves not only cultivation of roses, but also tomatoes and peppers," he told reporters Thursday during a visit to a greenhouse owned by Ecotomato company.

VTB Bank (Armenia) provided a $ million co-financing for the construction of the greenhouse that deals with growing Dutch roses. The other co-financier is Ardshininvestbank that provided $3 million in funding.

"For us it is important that our first joint project with Ekotomato was a success. Currently everything is moving ahead according to the schedule, " said Gusev.

"One of our key objectives is to support export-oriented production in Armenia, because it ‘heals’ the economy", he said, adding that some projects will be implemented in concert with Dutch company Dalsem.

VTB Bank (Armenia) is fully owned by Russian VTB Group. It has the largest branch network in the country – 68. The Dutch Dalsem Horticultural Projects BV) is a world-renowned developer of greenhouses projects and mushroom industry, a leader in the field of hi-tech greenhouses. -0-
