The Armenian government is ready to organize a business forum for Armenian and Cypriot businessmen, Armenian prime minister Tigran Sargsyan said on Wednesday at a meeting with the visiting Cyprus foreign minister Erato Kozakou-Markullis.

YEREVAN, April 4 /ARKA/. The Armenian government is ready to organize a business forum for Armenian and Cypriot businessmen, Armenian prime minister Tigran Sargsyan said on Wednesday at a meeting with the visiting Cyprus foreign minister Erato Kozakou-Markullis.
"I am delighted that our political cooperation is at high level. Our duty is to deepen and strengthen it," Sargsyan was quoted as saying by the government press office.
According to Sargsyan , the two countries have a large untapped economic potential, so they need to develop programs that will contribute to the fostering of bilateral economic ties. Armenian prime minister also said that Armenia's cooperation with the EU is being actively developed, and one of the results of this process are negotiations on a deep and comprehensive free trade area with EU to start soon.
In turn, Kozak-Markullis expressed hope that her visit will contribute to strengthening of multifaceted cooperation with Armenia. She also noted that Cyprus is ready to assist Armenia in the implementation of reforms and in introduction of European standards. -0-
