Yerevan brandy company procures 28,525 tons of grape

The French-owned Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC) said it has procured 28,525 metric tons of grapes as of October 22.
YEREVAN, October 22, /ARKA/. The French-owned Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC) said it has procured 28,525 metric tons of grapes as of October 22.
A press release by the company said it bought grapes from winegrowers in Armavir, Aigevan and Berd. The Yerevan Brandy Company said earlier it will buy this year 29,000 metric tons of grapes at 130 Drams per one kg of grape grown in Ararat valley and 120 Drams for grapes grown in Tavush.
The YBC was established in 1887 and was modernized in 1953. In June 1998, the company was privatized by French Pernod Ricard, the world's second leading supplier of high-class spirits and wine brands at $30 million. -0-
