Ministry Of Foreign Affairs: The Meeting Of Armenian-Greek Inter-Governmental Committee Can Take Place Next Year

The Greek Government discusses the opportunity of conducting a joint meeting of Armenian-Greek inter-governmental committee in 2011, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Spyros Kouvelis.
YEREVAN, November 29. /ARKA/. The Greek Government discusses the opportunity of conducting a joint meeting of Armenian-Greek inter-governmental committee in 2011, said Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Spyros Kouvelis during the meeting with his Armenian colleague Sergey Manasaryan.

Kouvelis mentioned the opportunity of visiting of Greek entrepreneurs to Armenia for the discussion of joint programs.

They discussed also the issue of signing a memorandum on two-sided cooperation in the result of the meeting of Armenian-Greek inter-governmental committee.

Kouvelis agreed with the idea of two-sided economic cooperation in certain spheres and suggested to encourage communication of entrepreneurs of both countries.

Greece will assist Armenia in the processes of signing agreements on Association with EU and development of cooperation.

Manasaryan said that the high level of political dialogue between Armenia and Greece needs to establish firm economic basis.

Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs said that the Armenian party is ready to create opportunities for the introduction of Greek capital in different investment programs. Manasaryan mentioned the necessity of implementation of joint projects and programs in the frames of preparation works of the official visit of the Greek President Karolos Papoulias to Armenia.

At the end of the meeting the parties emphasized the importance of exchange and provision of privileged economic conditions in the establishment of cooperation. –0--
