YEREVAN, January 17. /ARKA/. In the third quarter of 2010 the cost of living in Armenia (subsistence level) increased by 5,7% amounting at the end of September to 43,499.8 AMD (per month), while the minimum wage at the end of the third quarter was 30,000 Drams, according to a report posted by the country’s National Statistical Service on its official website.

According to the report, the monthly cost of the minimum set of products included in the consumer basket rose by 6% between June and September 2010 to $ 28,064.4 Drams.

The consumer basket includes such food staples as bread (the monthly cost of bread is officially estimated at 6,276 Drams), meat (2,913 Drams) potatoes (1,177 Drams), fruits (1,446 Drams), sugar (219, 9 Drams), dairy products (2,068 Drams), eggs (398 Drams), vegetable oil and margarine (1,500 Drams ). -0-
