YEREVAN, March 29, /ARKA/. In a televised interview with journalists of Yerevan–based and regional TV channels Monday Armenian prime minister Tigran Sarkisian said the positive effect of a set of measures designed to support the country’s agricultural sector will be visible in autumn.

He said the farmers involved in these projects will feel their positive impact through increased production capacity and will get financial support, agricultural machinery as well as new knowledge about how to cultivate their land plots, which kind of fertilizers to use. The prime minister also said climatic conditions this year are going to be more favorable than last year that will also have a positive impact. Tigran Sarkisian said further the government has already implemented a number of large projects that will have a positive impact on macroeconomic indexes, particularly, imported and distributed elite wheat seeds to vulnerable rural households.

He said about 200 rural communities are set to get this year government assistance and the results will be available in autumn. -0-
