Ara Vardanyan was unanimously re-elected Wednesday an executive director of Hayastan Fund by 35 members of Board of Trustees.
YEREVAN, May 30. /ARKA/. Ara Vardanyan was unanimously re-elected Wednesday an executive director of Hayastan Fund by 35 members of Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees commended the successful operation of the Fund headed by Vardanyan.
Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan also expressed his satisfaction with Vardanyan’s work during the years of running the office.
“It is impossible to imagine Armenia and Artsakh without Hayastan Fund,” Sargsyan said at the 21st meeting of the Board of Trustees.
Congratulating the Fund of the 20th anniversary he noted that tremendous work has been done within this period. “It is impossible to number all the programs, that have been implemented over the past 20 years. There are so many of them, that it is impossible to imagine Armenia and Artsakh without Hayastan Fund. It encourages us,” Sargsyan said.
He also clarified that he had released the decree to award all members of the Board of Trustees, chiefs of some local bodies of the Fund, and some employees with service medals.
The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund has injected over 235 million dollars into the programs in Armenia and Karabakh over the past 20 years.
In the framework of the programs, the Fund constructed 476 km of roads, 281 km of water pipes and culverts, 144 km of gas pipelines, 230
schools and kindergartens, 424 houses and apartments, 40 hospitals and health centers, 24 sport and cultural centers. The Fund has also implemented 85 educational, cultural and scientific programs.
The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, founded by Presidential Decree in 1992, is committed to implementing national projects related to infrastructure development in Armenia and NKR.
The Board of Trustees, headed by the President, includes influential worldwide representatives of Armenian Diaspora. -0-
