Armenia had record number of jobs in April 2023 - PM
YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. In April 2023, Armenia broke another record in terms of the number of officially registered jobs, which stood at 710,150, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today.
Speaking at a discussion on the 2022 budget execution in the National Assembly, Pashinyan said that in March the number of registered jobs stood at 706,294, up from 704,000 jobs in December 2022.
Pashinyan specified that usually peaks of job growth were recorded in September and December. "It is a new tendency in our economy that we have job growth in March and April. In the past, that wasn't recorded until 2022," he said.
The prime minister said also that some 162,161 new jobs have been created in Armenia since May 2018. The average gross monthly wage in 2022 increased by 15.5% compared to 2021, while the real wages increased by 6.3%. --0--
