Armenia’s 12-month inflation grows to 9% in May 2022

YEREVAN, June 3. /ARKA/. The 12-month consumer inflation in Armenia in May 2022 was 9%, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said today.
It said on a monthly basis, the inflation rate rose by 0.1 percent from April to May. The inflation in the first five months increased by 7.7% from the same time span of 2021, the NSC said.
Armenian government’s growth projection for 2022 is 7%, and the inflation is set at 4% (± 1.5%). Earlier, the Central Bank revised its growth forecast for 2022 1.6% from an earlier projection of 5.3%.
Armenia's economic activity index (EAI) in the first 4 months of 2022 registered a 9.4% year-on-year growth, the National Statistical Committee reported earlier. -0-
