Armenia's economic activity in the first two months of 2020 grew by 8.7% when compared to the same period in 2019, according to the numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

YEREVAN, March 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's economic activity in the first two months of 2020 grew by 8.7% when compared to the same period in 2019, according to the numbers, released by the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
In February, the economic activity increased by 9.2&% compared with January. Compared with February 2019, the growth amounted to 8.7%.
According to the NSC data, in January-February of this year, industrial output amounted to approximately 299.6 billion drams, an increase of 15.3%, from the same time span in 2019. Domestic trade turnover grew by 6.3% to 435. 6 billion drams , services ( excluding trade) – grew by 11.2% to about 305.3 billion drams and the construction sector grew by 5.8% to about 27 billion drams.
No figures for agricultural production were unveiled by the NSC. The economic growth projected by the government for 2020 is 4.9%. The inflation projection is 4% (± 1.5%). ($ 1 - 495.43 dram). –0--
