Armenia's economy will grow by 7.2% in 2023 and by 7% in 2024 - Finance Minister

YEREVAN, October 30. /ARKA/. In view of the latest developments, we expect that Armenia’s economy in 2023 will see at least 7.2% growth, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan said today, adding that the forecast for next year is 7%/
The government’s growth projection for 2023 is t 7%. According to the minister, the deflator growth in 2023 will be lower than the planned 3.2%.
‘We believe that next year we will return to the 4% target," Hovhannisyan said at parliamentary hearings on the draft state budget for 2024. As a result, nominal GDP has been slightly adjusted downward, he said.
According to the minister, the economic growth will be again driven by services sector, and the consumption.
"Increased investment and exports will also contribute to economic growth," Hovhannisyan said. -0-
