Armenia’s Foreign Minister meets with UN Deputy Secretary-General in New York to discuss collaborative programs

YEREVAN, July 17. /ARKA/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with UN Deputy Secretary-General and Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe, Tatiana Molcean, during his working visit to the United States, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported on Wednesday.

The discussions focused on the implementation of joint programs between Armenia and UN structures, particularly the UN Economic Commission for Europe.

Both parties reviewed Armenia's progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and discussed the country's third Voluntary National Review presented by the Foreign Minister.

Mirzoyan and Molcean exchanged views on potential cooperation with the UN Economic Commission for Europe to meet the "2030 Agenda" goals, specifically in transportation infrastructure, renewable energy, green economy, environmental protection, and road safety.

The sides also discussed priorities for collaboration on multilateral platforms, including within the group of landlocked developing countries.

Additionally, Minister Mirzoyan briefed Molcean on recent security developments in the South Caucasus.
