Armenia's industrial output in first 7 months of 2023 amounts to about 1.4 trillion drams

YEREVAN, September 6. /ARKA/. Armenia's industrial output in the first seven months of 2023 amounted to about 1.4 trillion drams in current prices, an increase of 0.5% compared to the same months of 2022, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
The industrial output in July alone amounted to about 217 billion drams, a 2.4% drop against July 2022 and a 1.3% rise from June 2023.
The mining sector accounted for over 271.5 billion drams, 6.5% decrease compared to the same period in 2022, while the output of the processing industry grew by 2.8% to about 911.9 billion drams.
Electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air supplies amounted to about 184 billion drams (0.2% growth against the same time span in 2022), while water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling grew by almost 6.6% to over 16.8 billion drams.
The processing industry accounted for 65.9% of the total output. The mining sector’s share was about 20%, that of electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air – 13.3% and that of water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling – 1.2%. ($1 - 386.83 drams). -0-
