Armenia’s mining industry and quarries posted a 47% rise in the first 11 months of 2015 from the year earlier. In terms of money the overall output was worth 201.5 billion drams, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
YEREVAN, January 14. /ARKA/. Armenia’s mining industry and quarries posted a 47% rise in the first 11 months of 2015 from the year earlier. In terms of money the overall output was worth 201.5 billion drams, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
Extraction of metal ore accounted for 97.6% or 196.7 billion drams of the total output (48% rise), while other mines grew by 6.1% to 4.8 billion drams. The manufacturing industry reduced by 5.3% to 742.9 billion drams, NSS said.
At the same time, supplies of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air increased by 4.5% to 213.8 billion drams, while supplies of water, water purification, waste treatment and recycling of secondary raw materials increased by 10.4% to 19 billion drams.
Armenia’s total industrial production in the first 11 months of 2015 amounted to 1.177.4 trillion drams, having increased by 4.6% from the year earlier. ($ 1 - 485.01 drams). -0-
