Armenia's policy of focusing on domestic issues attracts investors - Turlov
YEREVAN, March 5. /ARKA/. Armenia's policy of focusing on domestic issues is attractive for investors, founder and head of Freedom Holding Corp Timur Turlov said today.
"There is no any special geopolitical situation in Armenia, at least not a negative one. From the point of view of the people I've talked to, the vectors that exist, the important signals, such as the desire for European integration, the desire to improve processes, to actively interact with international development institutions - there are many steps that investors traditionally like," Turlov said, speaking at the first investment and financial forum "Armenian Capital Markets: Future Outlook" organized by Freedom Broker Armenia and the Armenian Ministry of Economy, which kicked off on Monday in Yerevan.
He noted that investors like it when a country focuses on itself rather than on foreign policy projects and building complex relations with its neighbors.
"It seems to me that Armenia has every chance to become attractive for international investors. This policy looks good to global investors, it looks like Armenia's desire to move in the right direction and deal with domestic issues. It is the desire to deal with external issues that scares away investors," Turlov said.
