Armenia’s production of copper concentrate decreased by 17% in January-April 2022

YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. Armenia’s production of copper concentrate decreased by 17% in January-April 2022 as opposed to the first four months of 2021 to about 106,600 tons, the National Statistics Committee said.
It said production of zinc concentrate decreased by 6.3% to 3,500 tons, while production of molybdenum concentrate dropped by 5.3% to about 6,900 tons.
During the reporting period, about 2,800 tons of ferromolybdenum were also produced, which is 17.4% more than in January-April 2021.
Also, Armenia generated 3,142.4 billion kWh of electricity in January-April 2022, which is 14.1% more than in the same period of time in 2021.
Thermal power plants produced 1,463.6 billion kWh of power (55.2% increase), hydroelectric power plants - 549.5m kWh (19% decrease) and the nuclear power plant - 1,073.9 billion kWh (3.2% decrease).
Wind power plants produced 1.1 million kWh of electricity (up 64%), while solar power plants produced 54.3 million kWh (up 2.6 times). -0-
