Armenian-Austrian business forum to be held in Vienna in 2025

YEREVAN, May 20. /ARКА/. The Armenian-Austrian business forum is planned to be held in Vienna in 2025. As reported by the Armenian Ministry of Economy, an agreement on this was reached at a meeting between Deputy Minister Narek Hovakimyan and Director General for Economic Affairs, Innovation and International Policy of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs, Energy and Tourism (BMWET), Co-Chairman of the Armenian-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation Florian Frauscher.
The interlocutors discussed issues related to the current state of economic cooperation between the two countries and the intensification of interaction. They noted that trade and economic relations between the two countries have been developing in recent years, but there is still untapped potential for cooperation in various areas.
It was noted that holding the Armenian-Austrian business forum this year will provide an opportunity to get acquainted in detail with the investment opportunities of the two countries and will contribute to the establishment of business ties between representatives of various fields.
During the meeting, it was also noted that Austria is of key importance for Armenia as an EU member state, and deepening cooperation between the two countries is also important in terms of interaction in a multilateral format.
The meeting between Hovakimyan and Frauscher took place in the Austrian capital as part of the 9th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. It was also attended by the Ambassador of Armenia to Austria Andranik Hovhannisyan.
