Armenian regulator bans import of one type of Korovka brand ice cream

A temporary ban on imports of Vanilla Chocolate-Creamy Eskimo Plombir in Glaze ice cream produced by Real Ice Cream Factory LLC (Korovka brand) has been introduced to Armenia since July 2.
YEREVAN, July 2. /ARKA/. A temporary ban on imports of Vanilla Chocolate-Creamy Eskimo Plombir in Glaze ice cream produced by Real Ice Cream Factory LLC (Korovka brand) has been introduced to Armenia since July 2.
As reported by the press service of the Food Safety Inspectorate, the ban was introduced in accordance with the decision of the head of the agency, adopted on the basis of a food safety risk assessment.
The ban applies to batches imported after July 2 of this year. The restriction does not apply to products imported before that.
The regulator recalled that a batch of this type of product, produced on March 7, 2025 (100 grams, shelf life 18 months), did not meet the standards established by the technical regulations of the Customs Union in terms of coliform bacteria. An order was issued to prohibit the sale, recall from the market, destroy or dispose of this batch.
