Armenian CPI ups 7.8% in first quarter of 2022- NSC

Armenia's consumer price index (CPI) in January-March 2022 rose by 7.8% compared to the same period of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).

YEREVAN, April 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's consumer price index (CPI) in January-March 2022 rose by 7.8% compared to the same period of 2021, according to the National Statistical Committee (NSC).
It said the consumer price index rose by 7.4% in March 2022 compared to March 2021 and by 1.8% compared to January 2022.
According to NSC, prices for manufactured goods rose by 11.3% in January-March 2022 compared to the same period in 2021. They were up 12.5% in March 2022 compared to March 2022, and up 2% compared to February 2022.
Armenian government's growth projection for 2022 is 7%, while inflation is set at 4% (±1.5%). The Central Bank in March worsened its 2022 growth forecast from the previous 5.3% to 1.6%. -0-
