Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said last weekend that his government was considering 'an unprecedented' economic proposal.

YEREVAN, September 9. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said last weekend that his government was considering 'an unprecedented' economic proposal.
“Just finished a discussion of an unprecedented economic proposal. Thousands of local companies have VAT debit balances that had been formed before July 1, 2017. Without going into details, these are the amounts that the government owes to economic entities as VAT refund. There are about 9 thousand such companies,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
According to the prime minister, the proposal is unprecedented because the government is discussing the possibility of refunding about 56 billion drams to the companies.
“The idea of the proposal is that business entities that have long lost hope of getting these amounts back will invest them in their businesses. This, in fact, is a government injection of more than $100 million into the economy,' Pashinyan explained. ($1 - 476, 55 drams). -0-
