The ruling Civil Contract party of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that controls 71 seats in the 107-member National Assembly has nominated former finance minister Atom Janjughazyan for the post of Chairman of the Audit Chamber.

YEREVAN, January 31. /ARKA/. The ruling Civil Contract party of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that controls 71 seats in the 107-member National Assembly has nominated former finance minister Atom Janjughazyan for the post of Chairman of the Audit Chamber.

The position has been vacant since January 19 following the early resignation of Levon Yolyan, who was elected to the post in 2017 and his term of office was due to expire next year.

Atom Janjughazyan served as Armenia's Finance Minister from January 2019 to August 2021. He previously had served as Armenia's Deputy Finance Minister and Chief Treasurer. -0-
