China’s CGM corporation offered to implement investment projects in Armenia

YEREVAN, June 2. /ARKA/. Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan on Friday received a delegation of the China’s National Geological and Mining Corporation (CGM).

The Chinese state corporation is engaged in geological and mining activities. Its main business projects are implemented in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, according to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy.

Minister Kerobyan was quoted as saying that the mining industry is one of the important sectors of Armenia's economy.

The parties were said to discuss opportunities for the corporation to implement investment projects in Armenia. Kerobyan expressed readiness to support their successful implementation.

The goals of the mining industry strategy are the creation and management of unified digital geological databases, adoption of efficient decisions regarding the use and preservation of mineral resources, and application of international standards and approaches. --0--
