Construction volume in Armenia increased by 13.6% in Q1 to AMD 77.6 bln

The volume of construction work in Armenia in January-March 2025 amounted to AMD 77,568.1 million (in current prices), an increase of 13.6% compared to January-March 2024.

YEREVAN, May 12. /ARKA/. The volume of construction work in Armenia in January-March 2025 amounted to AMD 77,568.1 million (in current prices), an increase of 13.6% compared to January-March 2024. This was reported by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic.
At the same time, in March, this figure amounted to AMD 32,920.0 million, which is 15.5% more than in March last year.
The volume of construction at the expense of the state budget for the reporting period amounted to AMD 11,044.8 million, or 14.3% of the total volume of construction work (an increase of 42.2% compared to the first quarter of 2024).
The volume of construction works at the expense of community funds amounted to 2,068.4 million drams (share 2.7%, decline - 24.8%), at the expense of humanitarian aid - 169.3 million drams (share - 0.2%, decline - 75.7%), at the expense of organizations - 41,535.2 million drams (share - 53.5%, growth - 14.5%), at the expense of the population - 22,750.4 million drams (share - 29.3%, growth - 9.8%). At the same time, the volume of construction at the expense of international loans in the first quarter amounted to 4,759.3 million drams (share - 6.1%) with an increase of 25.9% compared to the first three months of last year. Moreover, from the international loans, the World Bank received 381.0 million drams, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - 549.0 million drams, the European Investment Bank - 36.0 million drams, the Asian Development Bank - 1,350.5 million drams, the German Development Bank - 99.3 million drams, and other structures - 2,343.5 million drams. Most of the construction work was carried out in the line of activities related to real estate (volume 45,419.3 million drams, share in the total structure - 58.6%), provision of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (volume - 6,662.3 million drams, share - 8.6%) and transport (volume - 5,806.2 million drams, share - 7.5%).
