Construction sector in Armenia grows by 15.9% to AMD 406.4 bln in 9 months
YEREVAN, 6 November. /ARKA/. Armenia’s construction sector in January-September 2024 totalled over 406.3 billion drams (in current prices), increasing by 15.9% compared to the same period of 2023, the National Statistical Committee reported.
In September alone this indicator made about 71.4 billion drams, which is 16.5% more than in September 2023.
The volume of construction financed by the state budget made over 91.7 billion drams (26.8% growth).
The volume of construction financed by communities made about 15.4 billion drams (26.7% decrease), construction financed by humanitarian aid - 3.4 billion drams (8.4% decrease), construction at the expense of private organisations - 200.4 billion drams (2.7% increase), and population-financed construction - 95.4 billion drams (63.4% increase).
The World Bank financed about 3.9 billion drams worth construction, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development - over 5.2 billion drams worth construction, the European Investment Bank - 4.4 billion drams, the Asian Development Bank - 13.7 billion drams, the German Development Bank - about 2.2 billion drams and other structures - about 2.9 billion drams.
