YEREVAN, April 18. /ARKA/. "We regard the digital transformation as a tool to remove trade barriers, increase transparency and traceability in mutual trade, to build an area of trust, while on the other hand, we understand that the different levels of digitization in the member states, the lack of readiness and speed to achieve common goals and objectives may contribute to emergence of new barriers," Simonyan said.

He said in recent years, taking into account international experience, the existing national digital initiatives of the EEU member states have been considered and the potential economic effects that are possible in the development of the EEU digital space have been assessed.

"The implementation of the digital agenda and the creation of the EEU digital space will allow to achieve synergistic effects from the implementation of national digital agendas. We expect a certain reformatting of the digital agenda together with the member states to take place in the near future, which will give it additional impetus," said Simonyan.

He said today digital technologies are an integral part of integration, active digitalization of all spheres of the economy, the introduction of new IT technologies lead to the opening of new prospects for the economic, social and cultural development of the EEU, as well as for the growth of regional and global competitiveness. -0-
