YEREVAN, 14 November. /ARKA/. A set of projects, implemented together with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as part of modernisation of Armenia's State Revenue Committee’s (SRC) infrastructure were discussed on Thursday by SRC Chairman Rustam Badasyan and an EBRD delegation, led by newly appointed EBRD Managing Director for Turkey and the Caucasus Elisabet Falchetti.

The SRC said in a press release that the parties discussed the construction of customs and logistics centres with respective technical equipment in the town of Sisian in the southern province of Syunik at estimated to cost about 12 million Euros and in Yerevan at a total cost of about 45 million Euros, as well as the reconstruction project of Meghri (Agarak) checkpoint on border with Iran as well as modernization of SRC's infrastructure at a total cost of about 23.5 million Euros.

The parties expressed readiness to continue the lasting and effective co-operation established between the SRC and the EBRD.

EBRD is the leading institutional investor in Armenia, having invested to date about EUR 2.12 billion in 211 projects across the country. Some 92 per cent of these investments have been made in the private sector. -0-
