Economic activity in Armenia climbed by 8% in May of 2012 from a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

YEREVAN, June 21. /ARKA/. Economic activity in Armenia climbed by 8% in May of 2012 from a year earlier, according to the National Statistical Service of Armenia.
Economic activity increased by 14.1% in May compared to April, and by 7.4% within January-May from the same period a year earlier.
In contrast to GDP, the rate of economic activity is calculated in terms of realized economic activities ; it is not based on the volume of added value and does not include net taxes on production and financial services, which are calculated indirectly. –0–
