YEREVAN, November 14. /ARKA/. Armenia's Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan received November 14 a delegation of the European Investment Bank (EIB), led by Catherine Barberis, head of an EIB department for transactions, management and reconstruction.

Terteryan was quoted by the ministry's press office as saying that the visit was a good opportunity for an exchange of ideas and looking for new ways of cooperation.

Barberis in turn said the delegation’s visit to Armenia was aimed at mobilizing its team on the ongoing projects in Armenia, saying it was a signal of the bank to implement the signed obligations and expand the program package.

Terteryan praised the long-term and multilateral format of cooperation with the bank and attached importance to the programs implemented in the areas of water supply, drainage infrastructure and energy.

The sides spoke also about the improvement of water supply in Yerevan, the development of community infrastructures, as well as the construction of a 400 kV Armenia-Georgia high-voltage power transmission line.

The deputy minister attached particular importance to programs for the development of community infrastructures, which will improve the water supply and drainage systems in urban and rural communities of six regions, and build sewage treatment plants. -0-
