YEREVAN, May 7. /ARKA/. The Board of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) on May 6, 2024 decided to provide the Republic of Armenia with $100 million in funding to support economic reforms.

The funds will be used to support the budget in 2024 and will be provided following the implementation of the Reform Program of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

The program envisages the implementation of measures for increasing the potential for economic growth, improving the efficiency of the labor market and sustainable development.

The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development (EFSD) is a regional financial mechanism with a volume of more than $9 billion, which was established in 2009 by the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan.

The objectives of the EFSD are to promote economic and financial stability in the member states, as well as to support their sustainable development. -0-
