YEREVAN, March 5. /ARKA/. The first investment-financial forum "Armenian Capital Markets: Future Outlook" kicked off on Monday in Yerevan.

The event is organized by the Freedom Broker Armenia and the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.

The forum aims to become a leading platform for interaction between key market participants, including governmental bodies, business representatives, media and the public. The event is attended by more than 500 participants, including heads of state organizations, business leaders, private investors and media representatives.

Among the participants are the founder and head of Freedom Holding Corp. Timur Turlov, General Director of Armenian Securities Exchange Hayk Yeganian, as well as entrepreneur, founder of ABBYY Group of Companies David Young.

As Turlov noted, the forum will feature discussions on international experience, the holding's experience in the EU, the US and Kazakhstan, as well as the current prospects of capital market development in Armenia.

"This is a unique chance that we should use to bring new technologies, mobilize amazing talents, which are many in Armenia, to actively build interaction and bridges between capital markets, to build integration with the markets of the EU, the US, Central Asia and, in general, the region," he said.

According to Turlov, the issue of trust in the financial system is very important, including for the national security. He explained that the higher the trust, the better the welfare of the population is.

'We will be happy to discuss the existing opportunities for the development of Armenia's capital market and how we can realize them. Freedom is a company with over 1 billion dollars in capital, and the employees of the company here in Armenia will be happy to contribute to the development of financial literacy and technology so that we can make long-term investments in our development. I am confident that this will be a long road that will lead to increased prosperity," he said.

The central event of the forum will be the plenary session, which will be attended by the heads of the Ministry of Economy, Central Bank, Ministry of Finance, leading banks, as well as representatives of major Armenian and international companies and investment funds.

The forum will be a platform for interaction with key players and experts in the field of capital markets. The event will help to explore current trends and strategies in the capital markets, as well as learn about new instruments and investment opportunities.
