Gross wheat crop in Armenia is about 133,000 tons, according to the data released by July 24, the press office of the Armenian agriculture ministry reported on Friday.

YEREVAN, July 24. /ARKA/. Gross wheat crop in Armenia is about 133,000 tons, according to the data released by July 24, the press office of the Armenian agriculture ministry reported on Friday.
Wheat is already gathered from some 40,000 hectares.
According to the press office, wheat gathering is already over in Ararat and Armavir provinces – 43 to 47 quintals were gathered from one of the irrigated hectares, on average. From some separate areas one hectare gave 50 to 60 quintals, on average. The remaining wheat crops are being gathered now.
Land under wheat and bean crops totaled 199,000 hectares exceeding the previous year's result by 11,000 hectares.
Grain crops in 2014 totaled 591,000 tons in 2014 against 548,700 tons in 2013, and wheat crops totaled 340,000 tons against 311,500. ---0----
