In Armenia, 12-month inflation in March amounted to 3.3%, prices rose by 0.5% over the month

YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. In March 2025, compared to March 2024, inflation in Armenia amounted to 3.3%, and 0.5% for the month. This is according to the report of the National Statistical Committee (NSC) of Armenia.
According to the NSC, in March 2025, compared to March 2024, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 5.4%, and by 0.6% for the month.
In March, alcohol and tobacco products saw a price increase of 5.1% year-over-year, and 2.1% compared to February of this year. Prices for clothing and footwear in March 2024 decreased by 3% (a 0.6% drop from the previous month), and for utilities, prices increased by 1.4% (a 0.1% increase over the month). Prices for household goods, appliances, and daily apartment maintenance activities fell by 1.5% in March, and by 0.1% month-over-month.
Price growth in the healthcare sector in March was 3.5% year-over-year (with a 0.5% increase over the month), in the transportation sector, growth was 3.7% (with a 1.1% increase over the month), and in the communications sector, growth was 0.2% (a decline of 0.1% month-over-month). The recreation and culture sector saw a growth of 1.4% (with a 0.9% increase for the month), while the education sector grew by 7.8% (with no change from the previous month). The restaurant and hotel sectors experienced a 1.1% price increase (with no change month-over-month), and prices for various goods and services decreased by 0.8% year-over-year (with a 0.1% increase over the month).
At the same time, according to the statistics, prices in the non-food market in March 2024 compared to March 2023 decreased by 0.3%, but increased by 0.8% compared to February of this year.
Furthermore, the growth of tariffs for services for the population in March 2024 was 1.5% year-over-year, while a decline of 1.3% was recorded for the month.
The economic growth of Armenia in the state budget for 2025 is projected at 5.1%. According to the Central Bank's report on monetary policy for the first quarter of this year, by the end of 2025, Armenia's GDP growth is expected to range from 7% to 4.8%, in 2026 it is projected to be 4.7% to 4.1%, and in 2027, between 4.7% and 6.1%.
